Tanabata Festival, or the Star Festival, is a Japanese celebration that takes place on July 7th every year. Our school was decorated today with many beautiful vibrant ornaments and strips of colorful paper known as tanzaku.

The students participated in a small cultural immersion of this Tanabata celebration by listening to Japanese songs, folding origami, writing their wish on a tanzaku, and enjoying delicious Somen noodles. It was a fun day for us as we got to feel a slice of the Japanese summer Tanabata celebration!
